Bona Carl's Cleaner has been specially designed and developed for cleaning oiled wooden floors. Carl's Cleaner comes low in pH and also includes some grease. Therefore Carl's Cleaner restores some grease to the pre-oiled surface at the same time as removing dirt. Carl's Cleaner can be used for spray buffing. Bona Carl's Oil 25 Natural Carl’s 25 Oil range of flooring oils are based on natural Pine oil, the number in the name refers to the solids content of the product. The vision behind the range of Carl's Oil 25 is that there are 3 steps towards a beautiful and hard wearing oiled wood floor. A maintenance oil for use with a floor treated with Carl's Oils or other oil systems.N.B. NOT suitable for wax-oil systems Basic treatment where the pores of the wood are thoroughly saturated Regular periodic maintenance Correct and regular cleaning Apply easily using a floor mop, brush or roller. Carl’s 25 is designed for regular maintenance for wooden floors treated with Carl's 90 and Carl's 45. By treating the floor with Carl's 25, it will maintain its original natural look and display a hard more wear resistant surface. For periodic maintenance Dry solids 25% Easy to apply and quick drying Waiting times between coats: 30 - 45 minutes Coverage: Approximately 20-100m² per litre depending upon species and absorbency of wood and application method The best way to apply Carl's 25 is with a floor mop however a brush or roller can also be used. As a guide, the surface should be maintained 2 - 3 times per year in public areas with heavy wear and 1 - 2 times per year in areas with medium to low wear. In homes, maintenance every third year is sufficient. The floor should be thoroughly cleaned using Carl's Cleaner following the removal of lose dirt and grit. Carl's 25 should be applied to the floor and left for approximately 30 minutes. The surface should then be buffed with a Bona Oil Pad attached to the base of a buffing machine until an even level of saturation is reached. Apply additional oil if necessary. Surplus oil should be removed by placing an oil cloth under the buffer pad. Any splashes or runs should be removed immediately with a cloth. Allow the floor to dry for 4 - 12 hours then buff with a red pad. If swirl marks appear, or a shiner surface is desired, place an oil cloth under the pad and buff again. Carl's Cleaner should be used for periodic maintenance in the home and for regular cleaning of all oiled wood floors. Refer to the Carl's Oil sitework info for greater detail on maintenance

Bona Carl's Oil 90 Natural Carl’s Oil 90 Natural range of flooring oils are based on natural Pine oil, containing just 10% solvent. Carl's Oil's number in the name refers to the solids content of the product. The method behind this range of oils is that there are 3 steps towards an attractive and hard waring oiled wood floor surface. Achieves the unique appearance of an oiled floor in one day Correct basic treatment where the pores of the wood are thoroughly saturated Apply using a Bona Oil Applicator Must be used in areas under 70m2 Carl’s 90 and 45 provide a matt, natural image while enhancing the natural variation within the timber. Carl’s Hardwax Oil visually becomes a shinier surface with wax protection. As Carl’s Oils can have varying effects, depending on the timber species, we would recommend that samples are prepared prior to treating a floor. Carl’s 90 is a hardening oil, intended for the surface treatment of untreated wood floors exposed to normal or heavy traffic wear. Due to its quick drying, the floor may be completed within one working day. As subsequent coats must be applied before the previous has dried we recommend Carl’s 90 for areas up to 70m2. Waiting times between coats: 20 minutes Coverage: Approximately 10-12m2 per litre depending upon timber species Note: Carl’s 90 must be applied using a solvent-resistant rubber applicator Apply the oil evenly and thinly. Start at the furthest end of the room and work towards the door so no traffic can walk through the setting oil. Allow the oil to soak in for about 20 minutes. DO NOT allow the oil to dry. Repeat the treatment until the surface is saturated i.e. until the wood will not absorb any further oil. The number of treatments required will depend upon the type of wood but 2 - 3 treatments are normally enough. However, no more than approximately 0.1 litre of oil per M2 should be applied. 20 Minutes after the final application, the surplus oil should be buffed in alternate directions using a buffing machine (150rpm) and a Bona Oil pad. Immediately after buffing, any remaining surplus should be removed with a cotton oil cloth placed under the machine. Edges and corners should be dried by hand using a cotton cloth. The floor should be allowed time to dry. Best results are achieved if the floor is allowed to dry over night but it may be buffed after just 6 hours if necessary. During this time, foot traffic should be avoided. Buff the floor with a buffing machine (300rpm if possible) and a red pad. Then buff the floor with a dry cotton oil cloth under the pad. If the floor looks patchy, add a small amount fo oil to the cloth, place under the machine and buff the floor. One hour later, buff again. Continue this process to increase the sheen of the surface. To give the oil time to cure, the floor should be allowed to dry for 24 hours without any foot traffic.

Freshen Up contains no waxes which allows any wood flooring to be maintained and easily overcoated without having to be sanded back to bare wood saving time and costs. Bona Freshen-Up may be used on lacquered floors previously treated with polishes or maintainers containing wax,ensuring that the surface has been adequately treated with polish remover to remove all previous treatments. Bona Freshen-Up can be used with matt, silkmatt, and gloss finishes without disturbing sheen level. Bona Freshen-Up is specifically designed for finished wooden floors and is suitable for both residential and commercial use. Bona Freshen-Up has a drying time of approx 30 minutes depending on temperature and air flow to room.
